What does the job involve?

As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the delivery of both greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring the highest standards of HSE and client satisfaction are maintained. You will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of LV Electrical Engineering (80-90% ) e.g. the preparation of technical equipment specifications and the review of quotations and vendor drawings.
  • The design of HV distribution (10%) equipment, including grid connections.
  • Liaison with DNO’s and ensuring G59 compliance
  • Ensuring that all Electrical Engineering works are undertaken in accordance with the conditions and requirement of the contract
  • Attend co-ordination, progress and programme/resource meetings, when required.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Relevant Engineering Degree essential
  • Working towards or have Chartered Membership of a recognised institution.
  • Significant engineering and contracting experience in major and minor project environment required
  • Highly motivated and confident in working at a detailed level and coordinating major vendor packages.
  • Experienced in leading teams of engineers and designers.
  • Major projects experience of £20m upwards is desirable.
  • Experience in Process Plant, Waste to Energy, Renewables and Coke/Steel sectors is desirable but not essential
  • Lightning and surge protection experience would be adventurous
