Our client is a blue chip London quoted international business that is looking to expand their IT office facilities and requires a client-side Project Manager.

What does the job involve?

As the Project Manager, you will Plan, budget, and oversee the layout, design, and buildout of the new office. You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing outside contractors, detailed design, budgetary costing, integrated scheduling, standardized construction, and final inspection of works
  • Conducting works surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements
  • Ensuring project requirements are defined, project scope modifications and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contracts are identified
  • Acting as primary contact for external contractors and internal staff (IT, office manager, building management, etc.)
  • The administration of invoicing; raising purchase orders, verifying invoices, etc.
  • Managing project schedules and plans; coordinating with building management and internal stakeholders

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Strong project planning experience with office buildouts/facilities
  • Must have experience reading and understanding construction drawings
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent oral and written communication with proven negotiation skills at all levels
  • Detailed oriented self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment that demands flexibility and the ability to make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated experience with developing enduring working relationships
