Lead CE&I Design Engineer

This requirement is for a Lead CE&I Design Engineer with a broad background of CE&I design/delivery on Sellafield Site who can lead/manage a team of up to 20 staff comprising of Senior Engineers, Engineers, Designers, CAD operators and supporting staff to deliver the Preliminary and Detail design for the project.

What does the job involve?

You will work within an integrated CE&I design team to provide CE&I expertise and guidance to other team members as appropriate to ensure an optimised and coherent design output at a level of quality commensurate with the stage in the design. The role will include but not limit to the undertaking of:

  • Leading a team of Engineers, Designers, CAD and supporting staff to ensure delivery to programme and costs.
  • Identification of scope, estimating and programme development for the respective phases of the project.
  • Progress monitoring and reporting to the discipline RE, APEMs, PEs and Project Manager.
  • Maintain levels of appropriate resource commensurate with project phase and scope.
  • Act as the Primary CE&I representative to the project in supporting other disciplines and providing technical guidance where required.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Broad background of CE&I Design/ delivery on Sellafield site
  • Ability to lead/manage a team of Engineers, Designers, CAD Operators and supporting staff
  • Must have current SC clearance
  • Must have previous Nuclear experience

£50-60 / hr Ltd
