DATS is recruiting for an Indirect Buyer to join a well-established Chemical Manufacturer based in Ellesmere Port.

What does the job involve?

  • Managing a given portfolio of indirect material/services buying and ensure that all aspects from Requisition to Pay are managed within the required timescales.
  • Manage all stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of the above.
  • Supplier relationship and performance management.
  • Engaging early with the business to ensure time is available to complete the Purchasing tasks.
  • Managing the complete tendering/competitive bid process.
  • Negotiating final pricing and all appropriate Terms & Conditions.
  • Complete all tasks and reports within AX including savings tracking.
  • Support and implement the MRO strategy.
  • Support and assist Senior Buyers and management as appropriate

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Degree level education advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good analytical and reporting skills.
  • Flexible, pragmatic, independent and deadline focused.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • High level IT skills.
  • Willingness to follow CIPS qualifications.

What are the pay and benefits?

£30,000 per annum plus excellent bonus structure, pension, healthcare and holidays
