We are currently looking to support our client based in Paris, France with a requirement for an Information Management Lead – working on oil and gas projects. This will be a 6 month contract initially, starting as soon as possible and with potential extensions to follow. Rates have not been released and candidates expectations will need to be provided in advance of submissions to the client. Candidates will need to utilise a compliant payroll option for France involving the necessary registrations and declarations in France to remain compliant with local authorities. These include the Enterprise Individuelle scheme, French umbrella, or self employed via a French accountancy. Candidates will be required to obtain eligibility to work in France via a relevant work permit or VISA. More information will be provided to interested candidates.
A description is given below but candidates will require a minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in similar roles. French language is not necessary as the project is conducted English – but some additional language skills would of course help. The IM Lead will perform the following tasks
- Understand and analyse contractual requirements, clarify them with the Partners and the Client. Define an execution strategy for collecting, verifying, and consolidating data, and delivering it to the Client.
- Establish a relationship of trust with the Client.
- Review with the disciplines the equipment and component numbering procedure (tagging) issued by the Partner according to Client requirements.
- Raise awareness among the disciplines of tagging rules, present the Client requirements to them, and ensure they fully comply with them.
- Issue an Information Management Plan explaining how the IM team is organized and the strategy for meeting contractual requirements. - Issue information structuring and production procedures for the Client, Partners, the Project, suppliers, and subcontractors (Data Control Procedure, Subcontractor Data Requirements Procedure, etc.)
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the IM team, lead the team
- Participate in the implementation of the Engineering Data Warehouse in coordination with the Methods & Tools team, specifying the specific needs of the project
- With the support of the Engineering Data Coordinators, set up and maintain a Master Tag Register for Engineering: identify the various sources of tags and data and implement processes for collecting and verifying tags and associated properties.
- With the support of the Vendor Data Coordinators, define and implement a strategy for collecting tags and data from suppliers and subcontractors (from the call for tenders to loading the final register into the Engineering Data Warehouse). - Ensure the quality of data loaded into the Engineering Data Warehouse. Implement quality reviews and indicators, shared with the various project stakeholders.
- Ensure that IM deliverables are sent to the Partner/Client according to contractual requirements.
- Provide regular reporting to the project and the Department.
The successful candidate must have:
- Master's degree (Bac +5), with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Information Management know-how (technical project data management)
- Mastery of the specificities of Oil & Gas projects and knowledge of project processes (Engineering and Procurement phases)
- Proficiency in applicable codes
- Software knowledge: Excel (good level) / Aveva Engineering or, failing that, other databases. PowerBI and Power Query are a plus. - Analytical and synthesis skills, responsive, diplomatic, rigorous, and with good interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and task prioritization.
- Team management.
- Fluency in English is required: oral (presentations and training required, multicultural team) and written (documents to be written in English).
