Title:                            3 roles: C&I Engineer, Senior C&I Engineer, Principal C&I Engineer
Staff / Contract:        Contract – 6 month durations initially – extensions may be possible
IR35 status:                Inside – contractors must be compliant with PAYE / Umbrella payroll solutions
Hours:                         Standard full time hours – significant flexibility is available with only 1 day per week necessary in office.
Rate:                           Gross umbrella figures: Engineer: £50-£55p/h, Senior Engineer: £55-£60 p/h, Principal Engineer: £60-£65p/h
 
Our client is looking to add further C&I expertise to their team with 4 roles available at varying levels of seniority. All candidates will require the ability to obtain at least basic level security clearance, and possess prior experience delivering design of C&I engineering for different project life cycles including, concept, FEEDs and detailed design. Due to project work, we have a requirement for 3 additional resources in the C&I team. We are open to what level these hires come in at, thus we have outlined the information regarding Engineer, Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer hires. Ideally we would like 1 of each level, however would be willing to consider alternatives.
These candidates will work within a team of 4 or 5 (that form part of the larger overall Electrical team), working on projects that are located in our DACH region, in the life science and Industrial/ commercial sectors. 
Some of the projects are new builds, some are refurbs, where they will manage the full life cycle of the project from fee issue to EPCM.
They will work within a multidisciplinary environment, on some unique and complex, national and international projects.
We are open to Oil and Gas industry experience, but pharmaceutical experience would be first choice.
 
Requirements:
Below are non-negotiable/ essential requirements for each grade, please ensure you manage candidate expectations accordingly, on title and rate – please read JD for desirable requirements:
 
Principal C&I Engineer:
•             Extensive work experience (8-10 years as a guide) of delivering design of C&I engineering for different project life cycles including, concept, FEEDs and detailed design
•             Experience of safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews - HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments.
•             A demonstrable track record of exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction.
•             Familiar with assurance processes, codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation
Senior C&I Engineer:
•             Significant work experience (5-8 years as a guide) of delivering design of C&I engineering for different project life cycles including, concept, FEEDs and detailed design
C&I Engineer:
•             Some work experience (3-4 years as a guide) of delivering design of C&I engineering for different project life cycles including, concept, FEEDs and detailed design
