Principal Civil Engineer – LNG FEED Project (12-Month Contract, Inside IR35)
Location: Surrey (Office-Based, 5 Days Per Week)

Rate: £48 per hour PAYE (Umbrella cost to worker: £64 per hour)
Start Date: Immediate
Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to support an LNG FEED Project, working within the client’s team to deliver civil engineering design and analysis. The successful candidate must have previous Aramco project experience and a strong background in civil and structural engineering for large-scale energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead civil engineer in preparing engineering deliverables.
- Develop design basis, material, and construction specifications.
- Independently perform engineering studies and produce recommendation reports.
- Ensure compliance with American and Euro Norm design codes and standards.
- Oversee analysis and calculations for:
- structures, including buildings, equipment support structures, pipe racks, culverts, bridges, and earth-retaining structures
- foundations, including shallow and piled foundation designs
- civil infrastructure, including site preparation, earthworks, and roads
- Prepare material take-offs and provide input into cost estimation.
- Liaise with other disciplines, clients, and third-party contractors to ensure project alignment.
- Coordinate and collaborate with global project team members to deliver tasks within timelines and budget.
Candidate Requirements
- 12+ years’ experience in civil engineering, gained from a consultant engineering company or end-user company.
- Previous Aramco project experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of American and Euro Norm design codes and standards.
- Experience in structural, foundation, and infrastructure design within LNG or large-scale industrial projects.
- Ability to coordinate, direct, and review engineering calculations and studies.
- Strong communication and team coordination skills across global project offices.
