Project Planner – Nuclear New Build Permanent | Hinkley | £70,000 - £85,000 (DOE)

Site-based work is preferred, but remote working may be considered for the right candidate.

DATS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a high-profile nuclear new build. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the mechanical and electrical installation works within the new turbine hall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules for design, engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  • Manage progress databases and produce weekly and monthly reports.
  • Conduct milestone projections, delay/float path analysis, and record delay/disruption.
  • Oversee Earned Value Management, schedule performance, and productivity.
  • Verify site progress, incorporating quality assessments.
  • Lead planning meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Prepare tender schedules, histograms, and resource/cash-loaded schedules.
  • Support contract reviews and provide data for payment applications.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to chair meetings.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects. Ideally, a third-level degree in a construction-related field.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Career-driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic.
