We are currently looking to support our client – a leading UK solutions provider operating across the natural gas, petrochemical, biomethane and decarbonisation sectors.
They are looking for a total of 4 Service & Commissioning Engineers – qualified in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering - to join their team on a permanent staff basis. The role will be split into two parts
- Pre-FAT and FAT Work: A large part of this role will be based at the client’s custom built, modern workshop facility in Staffordshire completing testing, client showcasing, etc - full-time, standard hours working Monday-Friday 8am – 4.30pm.
- Commissioning & Decommissioning Work: Travelling to client sites across the UK and Ireland to conduct commissioning or decommissioning works. This part of the role will involve a lot of travel and staying away 4-5 nights per week. The candidate will also be trained in Service & Maintenance of products and sites, and when commissioning works are quiet, will be required to support the service team which again involves working away 4-5 nights per week mostly every week and working the on call rota approx. 1 in 3 weeks.
It is anticipated that the workload split means candidates will be away from home around 70% of the time overall however they will always be home for the weekend.
The base salary banding for this Service & Commissioning Engineer role is £35,000 to £45,000 - based on an applicant’s skills, training and competence. However realistic OTE earnings in line with uplifts for travelling mean candidates can expect to earn around 60-65K per annum.
A comprehensive staff benefits package is also available with 33 days holiday (starting), income protection schemes for sickness, vocational training, enhanced maternity and paternity schemes and more. The role also comes with a van for business and commuting use. The company also offers career development opportunities and frequent social events that help contribute to a highly social, team environment.
This is an excellent long term opportunity for someone living in the Staffordshire region to join a highly progressive, forward thinking company that values their staff members and provides a positive environment for all to succeed.
