Rate: £40 - £45 per hour LTD (Outside IR35)

Our client, a specialist in the process sector, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to provide SHE Management Services for a seven-month contract at a construction project in Fife. This role offers a great opportunity for a contractor with strong experience in onshore UK process sector construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing design packages to ensure safe and effective installation methodologies.
  • Assisting in the development of the installation construction programme.
  • Developing and managing health and safety systems on-site, including regular safety audits.
  • Overseeing and managing contractor safety managers.
  • Implementing the CDM Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan.
  • Coordinating SIMOPs (Simultaneous Operations) daily, including work planning, look-aheads, inter-trade coordination, progress monitoring and reporting.
  • Providing construction programme progress updates.
  • Producing weekly SOR reports and monthly safety reports.
  • Oversight and auditing of the Principal Contractor, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Client-side support, overseeing and auditing the Principal Contractor.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in Health & Safety Management on onshore UK process sector construction projects.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
  • Strong knowledge of current Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Experience in Health & Safety audits and reporting.
  • Demonstrable all round experience including strong mechanical and electrical
  • Up-to-date CDM experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills.
  • Right to work in the UK – this role is only open to candidates with indefinite eligibility to work in the UK.
