The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will act as the key commercial contact between the Commercial Manager and project teams, ensuring frameworks and projects achieve expected margins. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, submitting, and negotiating valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Managing risk, ensuring contractual compliance, and handling compensation event quotations
- Controlling project costs and maintaining contract margins
- Engaging with subcontractors, monitoring material purchases, and ensuring alignment with budget allowances
- Producing regular financial reports, including CVRs, cashflow, and WIP updates
- Providing commercial guidance to project teams and supporting strategic decision-making
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Working towards or holding MRICS membership
- Experience with operational management systems (ERP preferred but not essential)
Skills & Attributes
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management expertise
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
