We are currently looking to support our client based in Runcorn with a requirement for an EHSQ Advisor supporting project work across their North West client base. The successful candidate will operate in an advisory / managerial role supporting site based project work involving client liaison responsibilities, instructing site based client personnel, and subcontractor management.
This will be a contract role starting in January 2025 with a minimum of 6 months duration, although this is likely to be extended indefinitely in line with further orders and business levels. This will also be a part time contract, most likely working 2 to 3 days per week maximum. As such this role may suit people with an existing client portfolio looking to add further work into their schedule, or even semi-retired candidates with good experience looking to reduce their schedule.
Due to the client’s smaller size, they fall under the threshold for IR£5 measures and so Limited Company contractors are free to operate. Rates have not been confirmed but are likely to be in the region of £40 per hour (gross Ltd). The role will not be entirely site based, but candidates should expect frequent travel across the North West region, with the possibility for very occasional trips to wider UK locations. This will all be typically client process plant / chemical plant sites.
A further description is given below but candidates will need significant site based experience across multiple different sites. They will have a strong personality with good communication skills for handling safety related issues with clients and company personnel. They will be capable of conducting surveys where necessary, performing risk assessments, and writing policy and risk statements.
