We're currently supporting our client in the Oil and Gas industry with two Storeperson vacancies at their site in Dyce, Aberdeen. The pay rate is £13.05 per hour, with hours over 39 hours each week being paid at time and a half.

This would be a three month temp-to-perm contract role, with candidates beginning as contractors under our agency, and if successful, transitioning to a permanent employee of the client after three months.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Storesperson, you will be responsible for correctly picking and despatching of orders according to a picklist, including recording of any traceability details as per our company guidelines. You will be detail oriented to ensure orders are picked correctly and in a timely fashion using our computerised stock system. You will also be responsible for the housekeeping of the store and spare parts area.
Ideally you will come from a transactional stores environment and have previous working knowledge of computerised stock systems. You will be keen to take on new challenges, develop your skills and expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loading / Unloading lorries and vans
  • Reporting of any inaccuracies or delivery discrepancies
  • Being responsible for the accurate picking of parts, issuing the materials both physically and electronically
  • Preparing delivery paperwork
  • Housekeeping of goods in & despatch areas of the stores
  • General administration, stocktaking and housekeeping duties

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in transactional stores environment (Desirable)

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

  • Computer literacy (essential)
  • MS Office, especially Excel (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of computerised stock management systems (desirable)
  • Forklift license (desirable)
