We are on the hunt for a dynamic Project Manager to join our team in the Cheshire / Wirral area.

 

Our client is searching for passionate individuals who are dedicated to decarbonisation and renewable energy. They are at the forefront of waste-to-energy innovation and biogas production, recently spearheading initiatives to replace methane with hydrogen in the drive towards a net-zero future.

This permanent position offers a 40-hour work week with flexible hours. Based primarily at the client's head office, it also includes occasional site visits and the potential for up to two days of remote work per week after the successful completion of a probationary period.

Job Requirements:

 

Dynamic and Enthusiastic: Must be able to handle multiple complex projects and quickly adapt to changing situations and scope. Strong Communication Skills: Must effectively convey complicated problems and solutions to the engineering team and clients, both orally and written. Positive Attitude: Must have a positive and can-do attitude, working as part of a tight knit, growing, and diverse team. Confident: Must be confident in overcoming a wide range of challenges and keen to use new and cutting-edge technologies. Organised: Must have an organised approach to project work, including strict revision control and documentation aptitude.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

Extensive experience in delivering collaborative projects on time and within budget. Good commercial awareness, including effective negotiation skills. Knowledge and experience in the engineering industry is preferable. Project Management/Business Management qualification is preferred but not essential.

 

Primary Duties:

 

Project Management: Effective communication with the design team, clients, and subcontractors regarding project scope, timeline, client specifications, and budget. Project Reporting: Conduct internal and external reporting, including monthly progress reports, project financial estimates, commercial updates, and invoicing schedule reviews. Resource Liaising: Ensure requests for resources are directed to the appropriate team with relevant information, including design resources, manufacturing technology centre build time, SAT & FAT requirements, and other ad-hoc requirements. Risk Management: Outline and develop contingency plans to ensure projects complete within schedule.

 

 

Secondary Duties:

Process Improvement: Build a clear image of existing processes and offer improvements and suggestions. Task Delegation: Delegate tasks to Project Coordinators and Project Support Officers.
