We are seeking a Structural Designer to join a Steelwork Fabricator based in North Wales. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a small, family owned, hands on business who are currently working on a number of exciting projects including Structural Steel buildings and walkways. Training on Tekla will also be available for the successful candidate.

What does the job involve?

You will support the Lead Designers and Directors by producing drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla (training provided) with a strong focus on steelwork projects. Our client is working on various projects within a variety of fields including Sport & Leisure, Residential and Education. Although proficiency in Tekla is desirable, this role is a fantastic opportunity to learn new software such as Revit and Tekla to further your career.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD. Tekla and Revit would be an advantage
  • Experience in structural steelwork drawings
  • Experience in producing fabrication drawings
  • Experience of working with project teams to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Previous experience in adhering to standard procedures and document controls etc
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must poses good interpersonal and communication skills
  • B-TEC HNC in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar
