Senior Control Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer (Software Engineer) to join our client on a contract or permanent basis. Our client is a £120M turnover company who have been growing significantly over the last 12 months.

What does the job involve?

  • Site surveys to evaluate system requirements and interfaces
  • Production of functional design specifications from clients requirements (URS, surveys etc)
  • Configuration of PLC, HMI and SCADA packages, iFAT, cFAT, SAT and site based commissioning
  • May be required to technically lead projects
  • Monitor/plan projects to ensure completed to time and budget (in conjunction with PM)
  • Report on progress to Manager, highlight concerns

Technical Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure Engineering and Design activities meets all national and international standards, clients requirements and ‘best’ engineering practice
  • PLC / SCADA / HMI configuration, testing and commissioning
  • Network/communication design, configuration and commissioning
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems
  • Introduce latest developments/practices where appropriate

What skills and experience do you need?

  • HNC/Degree qualified in relevant engineering subject
  • 5 years + experience in a system integration environment
  • Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

What are the pay and benefits?

Contract – Market Rate

Permanent – £45,000 + benefits.
