We are seeking an experienced Production Manager ideally from an SME background with sound experience in overseeing production activity in a low volume, bespoke manufacturing environment.

You will have the opportunity to get stuck into a varied role taking in production, quality and lean manufacturing. What Skills & Experience Do You Need?

  • A proven track record in a production role in a sheet metal and/or automotive engineering manufacturing environment;
  • An ability to plan and organise production schedules;
  • Liaising with the Sales Team to quote on costings and lead times;
  • Sound knowledge of and an ability to implement lean manufacturing techniques;
  • A firm grasp of quality control principles and an ability to implement and manage them;
  • Experience in overseeing the ordering of parts and materials;
  • An ability to monitor and manage ongoing maintenance of production machinery on the shop floor;
  • Sound communication skills allowing you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, for example, production staff, the sales team, senior managers and external suppliers.

What are the pay and benefits?

£35,000 – £40,000
