Process Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join our client based in Whitehaven on a permanent basis. Our client is a leading global engineering consultancy with offices across the globe working in a number of sectors including water, nuclear and infrastructure.

What does the job involve?  

The main purpose of the process engineer will be to work closely with the Plant Engineering team to deliver fit for purpose design solutions mainly in the area of utility system design (compressed gases, water, steam and bulk chemicals.) You will assist in the development of the client’s engineering capability and be involved in the provision of skilled design service to specified standards of the time, cost and quality, either in person or through the guidance and technical supervision of others. The role will require you to ensure that designated work packages comply with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards, including safety assessments such as HAZOP and DSEAR. In addition, you will support the Lead Process Engineer in scoping work packages and developing cost estimates

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Degree qualified Chemical Engineer
  • Experience of design delivery throughout lifecycle – from front end optioneering to detailed design
  • Experience of producing standard engineering deliverables – Engineering line
  • Diagrams, equipment sizing, Line sizing, design basis documentation
  • Ability to manage own time when delivering multiple parallel work streams

What are the pay and benefits?

£30,000 – £35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
