What does the job involve?

Reporting to the Principle Mechanical Engineer you will assist in delivering an integrated Mechanical Engineering service maintenance function for existing and refurbishes assets via a team with matric structure. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the functions are delivered on time, within budget and conform to any client objectives.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Degree qualified or suitable relevant experience will be considered
  • Working towards a professional membership is desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience in road tunnels, the built environment and marine locations
  • Previous experience of working in a multi-disciplinary work environment
  • Fully conversant with all DDA, Health and safety and environmental legislation codes of practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory testing and monitoring
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills to liaise with client, staff and contractors
  • High level of ICT skills
  • Experience using AutoCAD would be beneficial
  • Clean driving licence
