Chemical  Engineer 

We have a really exciting  career opportunity  for potentially  two Process Engineer / Chemical  Engineer office based at near Ellesmere Port .

It is a chance to make a difference working towards a carbon neutral future.

Hybrid working 2 days from home. 

The role will support the provision of process design and analysis deliverables to projects and discrete work packages, with respect to Core Process Technology (CPT) and  in line with the Customer’s Functional Requirements and delivered to an agreed standards and schedule.

The role is in a very security sensitive area of the nuclear industry  and there is a requirement to have or able to achieve SC level security clearance which can take for a UK passport ( No Dual Nationality) holder 3-4 months.

There is a requirement to travel to European suppliers and other client sites.

Our client will be very interested in candidates who are looking to progress their careers with 3 years + post graduate experience.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Carry out all duties to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental requirements
Production of high quality written technical reports and specifications 
Ability to provide technical solutions to resolve technical problems/ queries, providing design substantiation, design basis and underpinning calculations
Ability to promote/communicate design solutions to external and internal customers
Analyse plant process, commissioning and test data and establish validated plant equipment performance models; utilise these models to define / predict process system and process equipment performance
Develop and maintain specialist knowledge 
Ability to review Boolean Logic Specifications or equivalent in terms of process system design requirements
Provide technical support to design reviews, ISA/HAZOP meetings 
Capability to develop project proposals including schedule and cost forecasts
Ability to manage project deliverables and provide clear status reporting to internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A good quality degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 2:1 or 1st.
Experience of working within design and simulation in any large process industry ( eg chemical or oil/gas) or nuclear. 
Knowledge of process modelling and simulation using tools including Matlab and Simulink
Experience in the field of Process or Chemical Engineering design
