We are seeking a CAD Technician to join a Structural Engineering consultancy based in Lancashire. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a small, hands-on team who are currently working on a number of exciting projects. What does the job involve?

You will support the Lead Designers and Directors by producing drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla with a strong focus on steelwork projects. Our client is working on various projects within a variety of fields including Sport & Leisure, Residential and Education. This role is a fantastic opportunity and full training on Tekla/3D software will be provided for the right candidate.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD, Tekla would be an advantage
  • Experience in structural drawings, steelwork would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working with project teams to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Previous experience in adhering to standard procedures and document controls etc
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must poses good interpersonal and communication skills
  • B-TEC HNC in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar
